Red Roosters Sweep Crowns

We continue to play really good baseball and are now 3-0. Nick Chinners hit a walk-off two-run homerun in the eighth to win the first game 3-1. Tyler Howard got the win pitching in the 7th and 8th. Mike Pagano pitched a great six innings allowing just a solo homer in the 4th.

In the second game we won 10-1. Dan Gross started and pitched great in the first five innings. Zach Deutscher closed out the game in the sixth and seventh. Wes Wilson hit a two-run homerun and Rob Stacy hit a triple with the bases loaded to open up the game with a 7-1 lead in the fifth.

I will try to give more of an update tomorrow.

On another note, Rider lost their first two games of the NCAA Regional. AJ Albee, Steve Galella, and Mike DiPietropolo should be joining us sometime this week. Congratulations to them and the Broncos for a great season! St. Peter's pitcher Andrew Costello is flying into Charlotte tomorrow.

Finally, I continue to be amazed at the group of young men we have. I couldn't have asked for a better group of guys. What wonderful young men! Every single one of them handle themselves with class and humility. All parents should be very proud.
