So for the third time in six days, we went through our pregame batting practice, and then canceled the game. This double header is going to be made up on Friday, June 20th. Both Monroe and us have TBAs for that date, so it has worked out well.
We are practicing tomorrow as a team, which is something we haven't really done in a while. Once the season got going we have had open hitting and open fungoes(grounders), with a few people required at each practice. We will probably scrimmage a bit, just to get back into some live situations since the only time we've played in the last six days was our doubleheader against Fuquay-Varina on Saturday.
We have doubleheaders at the Roost on Friday and Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes and Kernersville Bulldogs respectively. Mike Pagano and Mario Sencion will pitch on Friday and Dan Gross and TBD will pitch on Saturday. The nice thing about our rainouts, is it has helped our pitching situation a little bit.
