We won two games yeaterday...kind of. We were scheduled to play the Carolina Hurricanes at Elliot Wadell High School yesterday. When we showed up the other team wasn't there, but said they were coming to unlock the gates. Long story short, we took BP and the Carolina GM told us they had to cancel the game because of problems with the field. We were then credited with two wins.
It feels cheap to get wins in that way, but we will take them anyway we can. Today we host Fuquay-Varina for two at home. They currently are the early first place team in the Carolina-Virginia League. The forfeits actually help our pitching staff and we have mixed things up a bit. Dan Gross will start Game 1 and Mario Sencion Game 2. This leaves Mike Pagano open out of the bullpen and able to start for us on Monday against Monroe.
