Roosters Split with Kernersville

Split with Bulldogs
We split two games with Kernersville at Kernersville yesterday. We won Game 1 by a score of 6-3. We were able to take advantage of some errors made by the Bulldogs to turn the game into a win. Mike Pagano earned the win. He allowed three runs on four hits.

We lost the second game 2-0. I believe this is the first time we have been shutout this season. We haven't hit the ball very well this season, but this shutout is a definite credit to the pitcher. He threw a lot of strikes and was able to keep us off balance. We had just one hit in this game. We were actually one hit by Kernersville when we played them a couple of weeks ago, but were able to come out with a 2-1 win in that game.

League Website
The league website should be up to date in the next couple of days after having problems with the server. When things are updated again, I believe there will be a little more of a jam at the top of the standings. Monroe and Anson have been playing well and our five game skid last week hurt us. All in all, it has been a good season so far.

Today's game location has been changed from Elliot Wadell High School to Weddington High School. The address for those coming to the game is 4901 Monroe Weddington Road in Matthews.

Stats and Season Updates
I will not be able to update anything tomorrow, as Jessica, Maggie, and I are headed to Raleigh for church and to meet up with friends. I will hopefully be able to spend a good amount of time updating the blog and stats on Monday during the day.
